VIDEO: Kid Rock performs at Super Bowl 38

hennemusic is helping rock fans get warmed up for Super Bowl 48 in New Jersey this weekend with a look back at some of the rockers who have played at America’s most-watched annual sporting event.

Kid Rock performed as part of the halftime show for Super Bowl 38 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas on February 1, 2004.

The Detroit singer delivered an intense performance of two of his most-recognized tracks at the time, “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy.”

The lineup featured P. Diddy, Nelly and headliner Janet Jackson, whose wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake exposed her right breast, igniting a major controversy that would lead the NFL to schedule ‘less-risky’ performers for years to come.

Super Bowl 38 saw the New England Patriots defeat the Carolina Panthers to win their second championship in three years.

At the time, this was the most watched Super Bowl ever with 144.4 million viewers.
