Allman Brothers postpone final four Beacon Theatre shows

The Allman Brothers Band have announced the postponement of the remaining four dates of their current residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre as Gregg Allman recovers from bronchitis.

“As a result of Mr. Allman’s illness, the Allman Brothers Band is unable to perform at the level to which they aspire,” posted the group.

The affected dates are March 25, March 26, March 28 and March 29.

Ticket holders are being advised to retain their tickets, which will be honored for the soon-to-be-announced rescheduled engagements; anyone seekeing refunds may obtain them from the original point of purchase.

His health issues forced Gregg to miss two shows this past weekend – Friday and Saturday – during the band’s final residency at the famed New York venue.

In January, the Allman Brothers announced that they will cease touring at the end of the year as they close out their 45th anniversary.
