KISS: Gene Simmons responds to lawsuit by Eric Carr’s estate

Gene Simmons has issued a response to a newly-published report that KISS are being sued by the estate of drummer Eric Carr over unpaid royalties.

“Sad to say mudslinging by heirs continues,” tweeted Simmons. “None of it is true and dishonors the memory of Eric Carr. Shameful.”

The New York Post reported Tuesday that Carr’s estate is seeking royalties it believes it is owed on four songs that Carr wrote – “Breakout,” “Carr Jam 1981”, “Car Jam 1991” and “Little Caesar.”

Carr died from cancer in 1991.
