Nirvana members to guest on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon

The night before their induction into the 2014 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic will appear as guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, April 9.

The Tonight Show airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.

On Thursday, April 10, Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe during a ceremony at New York’s Barclays Center; other honorees include KISS, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt, and The E Street Band.

At press time, there’s no word on whether or not the surviving members of Nirvana will perform at the induction event.

This past weekend marked the 20th anniversary of the passing of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. The rocker died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his Seattle home on April 5, 1994; his body was discovered three days later by an electrician who had arrived to do some work on the property.

Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love, will be at the inuduction event, and said recently that the evening will be awkward based on her long-standing feud with Grohl over the rights to, and use of, the band’s music.

"We're going to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I think we're all sitting at the same table," said Love, who will say hello to Grohl. “Of course, it’s not my hashtag Yoko.”
