VIDEO: Eric Church covers Allman Brothers classic at Gregg Allman tribute

Gregg Allman is sharing video of Eric Church’s performance of the Allman Brothers classic, “Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More”, from his forthcoming live package, “All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman.”

Church was among the featured guests at Atlanta's Fox Theatre on January 10 for a tribute to the Allman Brothers founder and namesake.

Due May 6, the one-DVD, two-CD live set features a variety of artists paying tribute to the Allman Brothers legend, including performances by Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Devon Allman, Robert Randolph, Jimmy Hall, Sam Moore, Keb’ Mo’, Brantley Gilbert, Jess Franklin, Dr. John, Pat Monahan, John Hiatt, Jaimoe, Taj Mahal, Widespread Panic, Trace Adkins, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Eric Church, Jackson Browne, Zac Brown, and The Allman Brothers Band with musical direction by Don Was.

Extensive bonus material for the DVD includes 26 exclusive interviews, behind the scenes footage, as well as a special Gregg Allman presentation.

At the event, Allman joined the lineup to perform “Statesboro Blues” with Taj Mahal, and returned late in the show with Jackson Browne and a pair of acoustic guitars to perform a first-time duet of Browne’s song "These Days", and "Melissa" from the Allman Brothers’ “Eat a Peach” album.

Gregg also joined in to play the encores of “Dreams”, “Whipping Post”, and the finale, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.”
