VIDEO: David Lee Roth unplugs at Japanese tattoo parlour



Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth is sharing video of an acoustic performance at the Yokohama, Japan studio of horishi tattoo artist, Horiyoshi III.

The artist specializes in Japanese traditional full-body tattoos.

“I’m in Yokohama and I’m back to get a new tattoo. Got a dragon on my back and flower on my arm,” Roth playfully sings as he ad-libs some new lyrics to the John Brim song, “Ice Cream Man”, which appeared on van Halen’s 1978 self-titiled debut.

It’s the latest video from the rocker under the banner of his online series, The Roth Show.

The singer’s previous clip featured an impromptu backstage performance of Pharrell Williams’ hit, “Happy”, with New York a cappella group Naturally 7 at their reent show in Tokyo – check it out here.
