VIDEO: Robert Plant previews new album with short film

Robert Plant has released “Returning To The Borders”, a short film about his forthcoming solo album, “lullaby and...The Ceaseless Roar.”

The footage follows Plant as he wanders the English countryside while recalling his travels in the American south that provided lyrical inspiration for the project.

"I’ve been away a long time from these borders," says the singer. "I spent a lot of time traveling through the south. I was searching to see if I could find out the character of the area from the radio that was on in the car. So I
wrote the lyrics against an amazing link to those days, back in the 1930s and ’40s, when the south was the center of the black revolution in music, before the Great Migration up to Chicago."

Due September 5 in Europe, September 8 in the UK and September 9 in North America, “lullaby and...The Ceaseless Roar” was recorded at Helium Studios in Wiltshire and Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Bath, UK.

The Led Zeppelin singer recently released “Rainbow” as the lead single from the album.

Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters are currently on the road playing shows across Europe.
