Pearl Jam & Soundgarden to play Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit concerts

Pearl Jam and Soundgarden are just two of the acts set to perform at Neil Young’s 28th Annual Bridge School Benefit concerts in California next month.

The October 25/26 weekend event at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View will see the pair of Seattle rockers joined by Florence + The Machine, Tom Jones, Norah Jones, Band Of Horses and Neil’s wife, Pegi, plus additional guests

Last month, Neil filed for divorce from his wife after 36 years of marriage, but Neil will be on hand to headline while Pegi will perform at the shows with her band, The Survivors.

Pegi co-founded The Bridge School in 1986 with Jim Forderer and help from Dr. Marilyn Buzolich. The first benefit concert, in 1986, raised the money necessary to start the school, which opened in ’87.

The annual acoustic-based shows raise funds for the Bridge School, a facility that develops and uses advanced technologies to aid in the instruction of children with disabilities.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM PDT at Live Nation, the Shoreline Amphitheatre box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by calling (800) 745-3000.
