PHOTOS: Black Sabbath guitarist begins teaching at Coventry University

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi is sharing photos from his first day as a teacher at UK’s Coventry University.

On Wednesday, Iommi posted images of an in-class session as well as an autograph line where he signed materials for students.

The guitarist’s role as a Visiting Professor Of Music was announced by the school in June.

"It is a tremendous honour to have Tony here with us as a Visiting Professor,” said Dr. Sara Reed, Head Of Department For Performing Arts at the University at the time of the announcement. “His huge wealth of experience and musical knowledge is beyond value to our students. It's a fantastic opportunity for them to learn from such an immensely talented individual and all in the department sincerely look forward to working with Tony in the future."

Last fall, Iommi received an Honorary Doctorate Of Arts degree from the institution.

Black Sabbath wrapped up their “13” world tour in July.
