Sammy Hagar announces Birthday Bash concert following Cabo cancellation

Sammy Hagar will hold a Birthday Bash concert in Las Vegas next month following the recent cancellation of his annual shows in Cabo San Lucas due to damage caused by Hurricane Odile.

“Attention Redheads-- the search has ended for the right place for Redheads to come gather in October!,” posted the Red Rocker. “Sammy's Belated Birthday Bash will land in Vegas on October 18th at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. It will feature Sammy & The Circle (Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham, and Vic Johnson) and Joe Satriani and Chad Smith are showing up for a rare Chickenfoot appearance to wrap up the encore!”

“Redheads holding Cabo Bday Bash tix will be able to transfer them (if you wish) until Oct. 12th and general tickets go on sale Thursday at 10am. Those from the Cabo bash who do not transfer tickets will be automatically refunded starting Oct 13th.

Full ticket details are available here.

Sammy, who will turn 67 on October 13, was scheduled to perform at his Cabo Wabo Cantina on October 7, 9, 11 and 13.

The October shows have become an annual ritual for fans.

“This year marks our 24th anniversary so nothing short of a massive hurricane could have kept me from Cabo,” said Hagar when announcing the cancellation. “But after seeing the damage that Odile’s caused to Los Cabos’ airport, resorts and town, it’s with an incredibly heavy heart that we’ve come to that decision. Our prayers and best wishes are with our Cabo Wabo family and everyone that’s been affected by this storm. Los Cabos will recover better and stronger than before because of its incredibly strong community.”
