Keith Richards was a featured guest on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday as the guitarist makes the rounds to promote his newly-published children’s book, “Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar.”
Richards shared stories about his grandfather Augustus Theodore Dupree, who was his inspiration for the book, as well as tales of Chuck Berry, Mick Jagger and being a five-time grandfather himself.
Keith collaborated on the project with his daughter, artist Theodora Richards, who provided illustrations for the book, which was inspired by a childhood experience shared in the guitarist’s 2010 New York Times best-selling memoir, “Life.”
Keith and the Rolling Stones continue their 14 On Fire tour this fall when they play rescheduled dates in Australia and New Zealand, with shows starting October 25 at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, Australia.
