Chris Cornell to host An Evening with Jimmy Page in Los Angeles



Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will host “An Evening With Jimmy Page” in Los Angeles next month.

Set for November 12 at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel, “An Evening with Jimmy Page in Conversation with Chris Cornell" will see the pair discuss the Led Zeppelin guitarist’s photographic autobiography, “Jimmy Page By Jimmy Page.”

Tickets for the rare event go on sale Friday, October 10 from local outlets, including Amoeba Music and Book Soup, and nationwide from ticketmaster.com.

A 36-hour Amex pre-sale starts at 10 am on Wednesday, October 8.

Due October 14, the book sold-out of its limited-edition run of 2,500 copies upon its initial release in 2010, becoming the fastest-selling book in Genesis Publications' 40-year history.

The Los Angeles event is the third of three Q&A sessions Page is participating in to launch the book.

On October 15, the guitarist will discuss the project with The Guardian’s Music Editor, Michael Hann, at London’s Cadogan Hall.

He will also appear at as the featured interview guest for “Jimmy Page In Conversation”, a sold-out event at the Kaufmann Concert Hall in New York on November 3.

Led Zeppelin will release expanded versions of “Led Zeppelin IV” and “Houses Of The Holy” this month as part of their extensive reissues program.

Due October 28, both albums have been newly remastered by Page and are accompanied by a second disc of companion audio comprised entirely of unreleased music related to that album.
