Foo Fighters announce North American tour

The Foo Fighters have revealed dates for a North American tour in support of their newly-released album, “Sonic Highways.”

The 28-city run – which starts July 4 at Washington’s RFK Stadium – will include two shows at Boston’s Fenway Park and a previously-announced concert at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

Royal Blood will open several dates in July and August, with Mission Of Burma stepping in for one of the two Boston appearances; other guests are to be announced.

The Foo Fighters are helping fans get first shot at tickets in an effort to curb scalping. The group will be making tickets to all of the dates (with the exception of its Fenway Park shows), available at box offices before "scalper bots" buy up all the seatss.

The band’s "Beat The Bots" tickets will go on sale on November 22nd at 10 a.m. – for a full list of locations, visit foofighters.com

Tickets will then be available in an online pre-sale on December 1, with the general public on sale dates set for December 4/5.
