Motley Crue reveal final farewell show plans

Motley Crue have revealed the date and location of the final show of their farewell tour.

The band shared the timing of the event with a Facebook post on December 31, writing, “Happy New Years Eve from me and the guys. It’s been one great 2014 for us and we're really grateful to all the CrueHeads who came out and saw us live. It’s crazy to think that exactly 1 year from tonight we are gonna perform our final show together.”

Singer Vince Neil shared more details with pal Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Sun.

“I hope we can have our final after-party at the Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip where we began 34 years ago if it hasn’t been torn down by then,” said Neil. “It would be a fitting place to celebrate the beginning and the end.”

The iconic venue on the Sunset Strip was where the band got its start in 1981.

The final show will be preceded by dates at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, according to Leach.

Motley Crue resume their farewell tour next month with a 5-date Japanese tour, with shows set for Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo and Fukuoka.

The band were named the No. 4 Rock News Artist Of The Year and delivered the No. 6 Rock News Story Of The Year as part of the 5th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards.
