Former Pearl Jam drummer wanted by Texas police

Former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese is currently being sought by Texas police following his September 2014 arrest on possession of a controlled substance.

According to the Denton County Crime Stoppers website, the drummer was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance under 28 grams and the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Abruzzese joined Pearl Jam in 1991 after drummer Dave Krusen checked himself into rehab following the completion of the group’s debut album, “Ten.” He appeared on 1993’s “Vs.” and was fired from the band over "political differences" after recording 1994’s “Vitalogy.”

Abbruzzese married his childhood sweetheart, Laura Whisman, in 2006 and reportedly lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area.
