VIDEO: David Lee Roth intros Trisha Paytas cover of Hot For Teacher

Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth delivers the introduction for a new video featuring a cover of the band’s 1984 classic, “Hot For Teacher”, by YouTube personality Trisha Paytas.

“I’m a little bit distracted,” says Roth, “because what you are about to see is going to blow your mind – mind roasting! Your IQ is going to go down 14 points… excuse me, my knuckles are dragging.”

Paytas delivers a video for the track as featured on her new four-song EP, "Fat Chick."

Directed by Kale Flowers, the clip was filmed at John Marshall High School in Los Feliz, California — the same school featured in Van Halen’s original video.

“Hot For Teacher” was the fourth single from Van Halen’s “1984” album, following “Jump”, “I’ll Wait” and “Panama.”

The song reached No. 56 on the US Billboard 200 and No. 24 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart back in the day and was the last single released by Van Halen with all four original members.

Van Halen are gearing up for the March 31 release of “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert”, their first-ever live album with Roth.

The band have issued “Runnin’ With The Devil” and “Panama” as a preview to the project, which captures the band in concert at the Japanese venue as part of their tour in support of 2012’s “A Different Kind Of Truth.”
