Ozzy Osbourne working on new album

Ozzy Osbourne is working on new album, according to Epic Records President Sylvia Rhone.

"It's going to be a really special album," Rhone tells Billboard. "It's going to be amazing, it's something Ozzy has never done before that he's always wanted to do."

Rhone’s comments come on the heels of the Black Sabbath singer’s appearance at the first annual Epic Fest, a label celebration held Saturday on Los Angeles' Sony Pictures Lot that featured sets by Osbourne, Future and others.

Osbourne has two live shows scheduled for this fall, including a Halloween appearance at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans and a November 22 headline set at Ozzfest Japan, which was originally announced by Sharon Osbourne to be Black Sabbath’s farewell concert.

The singer’s month-long Las Vegas residency for his new show, Hell Gate, seems to have fallen off the rails for a second year in a row with no news or updates from Sharon on plans for the event to materialize in 2015.

Osbourne is expected to rejoin Black Sabbath for a final album and farewell world tour in 2016.
