VIDEO: Led Zeppelin classic featured in Destiny The Taken King game trailer

The Led Zeppelin classic, “Black Dog”, is featured in a newly-released trailer for the forthcoming Activision/Bungie video game, Destiny: The Taken King.

The latest adventure in the first person shooter Destiny universe introduces a new story campaign and quests, new enemies to fight, new locations to explore, new Strikes and Crucible maps, a new Raid that will put players to the ultimate test, and more.

Players will have access to three new devastating Guardian subclasses and a massive arsenal of weapons, armor, and gear.

According to the game description, “A dark shadow has fallen over our worlds. Oryx, The Taken King, is hell-bent on vengeance and is raising an army of corrupted ‘Taken’ forces by manipulating the Darkness itself. You must find a way into his impenetrable Dreadnaught ship to defeat The Taken King before he and his dark army consume our civilization and bring our solar system to ruin.”

Destiny: The Taken King ships for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 15.

“Black Dog” was the lead single from 1971’s “Led Zeppelin IV.” The song peaked at No. 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100 upon its original release.

An expanded version of the album was issued in 2014 as part of Led Zeppelin’s extensive reissue program, which saw all nine of the band’s studio albums reissued in chronological order, each remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page.
