Black Sabbath expand North American farewell tour

Black Sabbath have expanded their farewell tour with additional North American dates next summer.

Billed as “The End”, the group’s final run begins in Omaha, NE on January 20 before shows in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Now, the metal icons have announced a second series of dates in North America starting August 17 at Jones Beach and running to September 21 in Phoenix, AZ.

Tickets for these shows will go on sale October 31 at varying local times; check your local provider for details.

Three-quarters of the original lineup – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler – will perform, as they did with their world tour in support of the 2013 album, “13.”

The band have yet to confirm if Ozzy’s solo drummer, Tommy Clufetos, will handle live dates for the farewell trek as he did in 2013.

Original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward will once again sit out the tour over contractual issues with the band and personal issues with Osbourne over remarks in recent years.
