David Lee Roth lineup to reunite for Eat ‘Em And Smile anniversary show

The lineup featured on David Lee Roth’s 1986 debut full-length solo album, “Eat ‘Em And Smile”, will reunite for the first time in three decades to perform songs from the record with guest vocalist Ralph Saenz (a.k.a. Michael Starr of Steel Panther) in Hollywood on November 25.

Guitarist Steve Vai, bassist Billy Sheehan, drummer Gregg Bissonette and Seanz will play a free show at Lucky Strike Live as part of the club’s "Ultimate Jam Night" series.

The Steel Panther frontman was the lead singer for the Roth-era Van Halen tribute band Atomic Punks from 1994 to 2008, where he had the nickname David Lee Ralph.

Roth released "Eat 'Em And Smile" in the summer of 1986 following his the success of his 1985 EP “Crazy From The Heat” and his departure from Van Halen that same year.

The album was previewed with the US Top 20 single “Yankee Rose”, and hit No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to selling more than 2 million copies in the States alone.

Roth and Van Halen closed out their 2015 North American tour with a pair of shows at the Hollywood Bowl last month.

The 3-month run in support their latest release, “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert”, kicked off in Seattle on July 5 with a set that mixed rarities and classics – including a pair of live debuts.
