Robert Plant reunites with Alison Krauss for Christmas song

Robert Plant has reunited with Alison Krauss for “The Light Of A Christmas Day”, a new song featured on the soundtrack to the forthcoming holiday film “Love The Coopers.”

The tune marks the first release by the pair since their 2007 project, “Raising Sand”, which picked up Album Of The Year honors at the 2009 Grammy Awards.

Due in theaters November 13, “Love The Coopers” stars John Goodman, Ed Helms, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Munn and more as four generations of the Cooper clan come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration.

“The Light Of Christmas Day” will be featured on the film’s companion soundtrack, which also includes songs by Bob Dylan, Otis Redding, Sting and others.

Plant recently wrapped up a North American tour in support of 2014’s “lullaby and...The Ceaseless Roar.”
