Journey singer Arnel Pineda will release the EP, “Sounds Of Christmas”, on December 18.
The 4-song set includes the now-available lead single “This Christmas”, as well as “Christmas Day”, “Christmas Time” and “Jingle Bells.”
The project is Pineda’s first offering under a newly-signed deal with Imagen Records.
"I am pleased and honoured to have the opportunity to sign with Imagen Records for my solo projects,” says Pineda, “such as my new Christmas record out now, and my full length solo album coming out next in 2016, and of course, be able to work with such amazing crew and management of Imagen Records.
“To all the Journey fans, thank you for all your love and support to me and our whole band, looking forward to Journey's tour next year. Grateful to have all the people around me including Sanre Entertainment, its CEO Rene Walter, and my social media followers and likers, for their continued support, loyalty and love for my God-given talent. God bless everyone."
"Sounds Of Christmas" is available to pre-order via iTunes.
Pineda joined the San Francisco band in 2007 after being discovered by founder and guitarist Neal Schon singing Journey covers on YouTube with Filipino band The Zoo.
The frontman appeared on Journey’s 2008 release, “Revelation”, and their 2011 album “Eclipse.”
Pineda and the group recently announced a 2016 North American tour with The Doobie Brothers and guest Dave Mason.
The trek will see the return of drummer Steve Smith to the lineup after many years away from the band.
