Ace Frehley cancels Poughkeepsie show after being hospitalized

Ace Frehley has cancelled tonight’s show in Poughkeepsie, NY (April 16) after being admitted to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following his show last night at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

“After extensive testing, it was determined that Ace’s symptoms were due to exhaustion and dehydration,” Frehley’s team posted on his social media sites. “In consultation with his doctors, Ace, who aside from the exhaustion and dehydration has been given a clean bill of health, has reluctantly agreed to cancel tonight’s sold out show at the Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY. The venue is working to reschedule the date in late September and expects to announce an exact date later this week.”

In the meantime, ticket buyers for tonight’s show can use their tickets for the rescheduled date in September or return them at the point of purchase for a full refund. AceFrehley.com VIP Experience and Guitar Signature packages purchasers will be contacted by AceFrehley.com and can either obtain a full refund or use their packages on the rescheduled date.

Once released from the hospital, Frehley will head home to Southern California to recuperate.

The Poughkeepise show was the final date of Frehley’s spring US tour in support of his latest album, “Origins Vol. 1.”

The project sees the guitarist joined by a variety of guests – including Paul Stanley, Slash, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Lita Ford and John 5 – to deliver new versions of tracks by Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Steppenwolf, among others.
