Aerosmith: Steven Tyler announces special Lincoln Center concert

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will perform “Out On A Limb”, a special one-off benefit concert at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall in New York on May 2.

The event in support of Tyler’s charity Janie’s Fund sees the singer team with director Brett Ratner to present an evening of live music with Nashville outfit Loving Mary and stories from his legendary life and career.

“I’m digging deep and finding some real buried treasure for this one,” says Tyler. “I’ve never performed quite like this before. I’m telling it like it is and getting to perform with some extremely talented musicians and dear friends from Nashville. For this show, we’re taking it up close and personal and truly going out on a limb.”

The funsd-raising event will also feature a silent auction with once in a lifetime experiences and memorabilia, from a five-day stay at Tyler’s Hawaiian home to a limited edition, hand-shaped artist series surfboard designed by artist Tim Bessell as part of the Bessell Warhol Project, the Skittles mic stand from the set of Tyler’s Super Bowl commercial, pieces from his personal wardrobe worn on American Idol, and more.

Tickets for “Steven Tyler…Out On A Limb” will go on-sale Friday, April 8 at 10 AM via Ticketmaster.

Tyler has been playing random shows with Loving Mary and is expected to release his debut solo album sometime this year.

The rocker recently debuted a new song, “Red White And You”, as the second single from the forthcoming project, following the 2015 release of “Love Is Your Name.”
