Axl Rose revealed his current favorite AC/DC song as he was caught on video Monday rolling through Los Angeles International Airport on a scooter en route to join the Australian band for rehearsals ahead of their European tour next month.
Rose will be fronting the group for the remaining dates on their Rock Or Bust tour after Brian Johnson was advised by doctors to stop performing immediately or risk total hearing loss.
AC/DC’s European shows with Rose will begin May 7 in Lisbon, Portugal.
TMZ touched base with Rose on AC/DC at LAX and asked him about Guns N’ Roses recent pair of headlining sets at Coachella.
“The shows went really good,” said Axl. “The crowd was amazing. It was really nice. The first show was good. The second show was more fun.The crowd was even more responsive."
Following the spring AC/DC dates, Rose will rejoin Guns N’ Roses for a summer stadium tour of North America starting June 23 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
The group has just added four US concerts to the schedule, including second shows in Chicago, IL, Foxborough, MA and East Rutherford, NJ, as well as a new date at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
A Nightrain official GN'R fan club pre-sale for all four shows is on now; a Citi cardmember pre-sale begins Tuesday, April 26, and general public tickets will go on sale Friday, April 29 at 10 am local – except Foxborough, which happens Saturday, April 30 at 10 am local.
AC/DC will also reschedule the postponed 10 U.S. dates with Rose fronting the group for sometime later this year.
