Twister Sister frontman Dee Snider performed the AC/DC classic, “Highway To Hell”, during a surprise appearance at the Whisky A Go Go’s Ultimate Jam Night in Hollywood on April 26.

“People were calling me saying I should audition for AC/DC,” Snider told the crowd. “I said ‘I was too tall.’”

Event host and son Jesse Snider joined his father on the AC/DC tune, and Dee took center stage for the Twisted Sister smash “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

Launched by Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright more than a year ago, the Ultimate Jam Night recently moved its weekly home from the Lucky Strike to the famed Whisky.

Other guest performers at the April 26 show included former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, former Megadeth bassist James Lomenzo, Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali and Chickenfoot drummer Kenny Aronoff.

Snider and Twisted Sister will wrap up their live career this year with a series of appearances at rock and metal festivals in Europe and Canada this summer starting June 10 at Sweden Rock.

Drummer Mike Portnoy will join the group for the shows after sitting in for some 2015 dates following the passing of AJ Pero at the age of 55 from a heart attack while playing on tour with Adrenaline Mob last year.
