Metallica to play exclusive Hollywood show following Grammy Awards appearance

Metallica will perform at the Hollywood Palladium on February 12 following their appearance on the 59th annual Grammy Awards on the same night.

The exclusive concert for Citi card members adds another date to the group’s WorldWired tour in support of their current release, “Hardwired…To Self Destruct.”

“Why should the fun end after the cameras stop rolling?!!,” says the band. “As soon as the awards show is over, we’re going to shoot over to the iconic Hollywood Palladium to hit the stage one more time that evening as part of the “Citi Sound Vault” live music series.”

The Metallica event marks the fifth Citi Sound Vault show at the iconic Hollywood venue during Grammys week, following concerts by Sting (Feb 8/9), Beck (Feb 10) and The Chainsmokers (Feb 11).

Fifth Members can log in to the Metallica fan club site for a chance to win tickets, which will be available January 31st at 10:00 AM PST exclusively for cardmembers using their Citi credit or debit card via Livenation.com

The 59th annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 12 on CBS-TV starting at 8:00 PM EST.

Metallica recently wrapped up a series of dates in Asia and will next play four sold-out shows at the all-new Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark between February 3 and 9.
