VIDEO: Liam Gallagher performs US solo debut in New York

Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher performed his US solo debut during a secret show at the McKittrick Hotel in New York on July 18, and video from the event is streaming online.

“That was old skool last night NYC,” tweeted the rocker. “You smelt fantastic.”

Ahead of a scheduled appearance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL on August 3, Gallagher delivered a 13-song set of Oasis classics and tunes from his forthcoming debut album, “As You Were.”

Due October 6, the 15-track project was produced by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck) and Dan Grech-Marguerat (Radiohead, Mumford And Sons).

The set has been previewed with the lead singles, “Wall Of Glass”, and “Chinatown.”

“As You Were” will be available in standard and deluxe editions on digital, CD, vinyl and limited edition coloured vinyl, with a special boxset also offered via Gallagher’s website.

The launch of the former Oasis singer’s solo career follows a five-year, two-record stint with Beady Eye, who disbanded in 2014.

Gallagher will support the project a series of North American dates this fall.

The three-week, nine-show run will open in San Francisco, CA on November 13, with stops in several major markets including Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Toronto, among others.
