Roger Waters announces UK tour

Roger Waters has announced dates for a tour of UK arenas next year.

The US + Them run will see the bassist play shows in Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham starting in late June while on the road in support of his current album, “Is This The Life We Really Want?”

The concerts feature “songs from the albums of Pink Floyd”, with an emphasis on 1973’s “The Dark Side Of The Moon”, 1975’s “Wish You Were Here”, 1977’s “Animals” and 1979’s concept album “The Wall.”

Waters has also been named as the first headlining act for the annual British Summer Time series of concerts in London's Hyde Park, where he’ll perform on July 6.

Tickets for all five UK appearances will go on sale October 6 at 9 a.m. local time.

Waters teamed up with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich in London and Los Angeles for “Is This The Life We Really Want?”, his first new album of original material in 25 years.

The set topped the album charts in several countries, including Poland, Switzerland, Norway and Scotland, while peaking at No. 11 on the US Billboard 200.

Waters is currently playing shows on a North American tour, which will wrap up on October 29 with the second of two dates in Vancouver, BC.
