KISS add David Lee Roth to farewell US tour

KISS have added David Lee Roth to their farewell US tour.

The singer will deliver a mix of solo hits and Van Halen classics when The End Of The Road dates resume in Manchester, NH on February 1; the spring run wraps up in March before the pairing return for a fall US leg that will begin in late August.

"David Lee Roth will bring his exciting stage show featuring a twin guitar big rock sound and a set list of classic hits and future energy," read a statement about Roth’s addition to the tour.

Ahead of his return to the arena concert stages, Roth will host a Las Vegas residency at the House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort And Casino with a three-show run in January a six-night series in March.

This fall, Roth revealed his belief that Van Halen is "finished" as rumors continued about the status of guitarist Eddie Van Halen.

“I've inherited the band de facto – whatever that means,” explained the singer. “I think it means if you inherit it, carry this proudly. Van Halen isn't gonna be coming back in the fashion that you know. And that being said, Eddie's got his own story to tell…not mine to tell it."

Eddie then made headlines with reports that he has been flying to Germany in recent years to receive radiation treatments for throat cancer, as well as spending some time in hospital after experiencing some complications from the medication he’s taking for the health issue.

No official statements have been released regarding Eddie’s health status or Van Halen’s plans moving forward.
