Motley Crue reunion tour update

Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts have issued a joint statement updating fans on the status of their US summer stadium tour.

As the world continues to deal with the ongoing pandemic, the series is scheduled to begin in Jacksonville, FL on June 18.

"We wanted to reach out to all of our amazing fans and let you know that we've been hard at work preparing an amazing show,” says the bands. "Our priority during this unprecedented time is to make sure that we are being as thoughtful and responsible as possible in the decisions we are making regarding The Stadium Tour and that we are putting the fans' health, well-being and safety first and foremost.

"We are currently weighing all options and are awaiting further direction from the powers that be. Our goal is to have an official update to everyone by June 1 outlining exactly how we will proceed.

“In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. We can't wait to see you all again.”

The statement follows comments last month by Tommy Lee, who said that “everything’s still a go” for the tour, which will see Motley Crue reunite five years after signing an agreement that they would no longer perform together following the end of their official farewell tour in 2015.

“We’re all in constant communication,” shared Lee. “[Bassist] Nikki [Sixx] and I have been in several production meetings. You’re talking multiple stadiums, so it’s like two kids in a candy store putting together something people are going to walk [away from] saying, ‘Are you f--king kidding me?!’ That’s our mission right now, and it’s definitely headed in that direction.”
