Metallica stream Munich concert from St. Anger tour

Metallica are sharing video of a 2004 concert in Munich, Germany in the latest installment of their weekly streaming series Metallica Mondays.

The band were filmed at the city’s Olympiastadion on June 13, 2004 as part of a world trek in support of their eighth studio album, “St. Anger.”

The year-long Madly In Anger With The World Tour saw Metallica perform 135 shows – including 84 in North America alone – while taking in $178 million at the box office.

“St. Anger” debuted at No. 1 in the US and 30 other countries, while the title track won the group a 2004 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.

Metallica will release a new live package, “S&M2”, on August 28; the project presents material from a two shows last fall with the San Francisco Symphony as the pair officially opened the new Chase Center in San Francisco, CA, while also marking the 20th Anniversary of their 1999 live performance recording “S&M.”
