Metallica to perform live on The Howard Stern Show

Metallica will perform live on The Howard Stern Show this week.

“Our great friend, and ever loyal Metallica supporter, Howard Stern has invited us to pay a virtual visit to his show this Wednesday, August 12,” says the band. “It’s going to be yet another first during this very unusual time as we’ll be hanging in Northern California at HQ and chatting with Howard while he’s camped out in his home studio.

“In between the banter we’re going to fire up the amps, get behind the drums and beam a few songs live to Howard as well. Tune in for lots of conversation and some morning metal!

“… and thanks to Howard for inviting us back... we look forward to catching up!”

The Howard Stern Show airs on the host’s exclusive SiriusXM channel Howard 100 and can also be heard via the SiriusXM app.

Metallica are gearing up for the August 28 release of a new package, “S&M2”, and a pre-recorded live performance as the first rock band to be featured in the Encore Drive-In Nights series on August 29 and streamed at hundreds of drive-in and outdoor theaters across the United States and Canada.
