Metallica achieve US chart milestone

Metallica have achieved a new milestone on the US charts with a track from their new album, “S&M2.”

According to Billboard, the band have become the first act to have topped Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart in four distinct decades, as a live version of "All Within My Hands" featuring the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, hits No. 1 on the latest edition of the list.

Metallica have scored 10 Mainstream Rock Songs No. 1s through the years, including three in the '90s, four in the '00s, two in the '10s, and now its first of the '20s.

“S&M2” presents material from the group’s two shows last fall with the San Francisco Symphony as the pair officially opened the new Chase Center in San Francisco, CA, while also marking the 20th Anniversary of their 1999 live performance recording “S&M.”

Produced by Greg Fidelman with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, the project is available in a variety of configurations, ranging from a digital album on all leading streaming outlets, to 4LP vinyl, 2CD, DVD and Blu-ray versions, to a limited edition color vinyl 4LP + 2CD + Blu-ray Deluxe Box.
