Stone Temple Pilots to perform Purple album in livestream concert

Stone Temple Pilots will perform their second album, “Purple”, in its entirety during an October 16 livestream concert event.

Following the massive success of their 1992 debut, “Core”, the 1994 follow-up topped the US Billboard 200 with help from singles like “Big Empty”, “Vasoline” and “Interstate Love Song”; the project went on to sell 6 million copies in the States.

The group hosted a livestream performance of “Core” in July and will do the same with the “Purple” set, available for $10 and scheduled for Friday, October 16 at 8pm EST via

Earlier this year, the group released an acoustic record, “Perdida”; the set marks Stone Temple Pilots’ eighth album and second with singer Jeff Gutt following a 2018 self-titled effort.
