Wolfgang Van Halen performs acoustic Distance on The Today Show

Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth WVH performed an acoustic version of their 2020 single, “Distance”, on the February 19 episode of NBC-TV’s Today Show.

The appearance saw Wolfgang joined by the live lineup of his studio project, which includes guitarists Jon Jourdan and Frank Sidoris, bassist Ronnie Ficarro and drummer Garret Whitlock.

“Distance” was written by the rocker as a tribute to his father, Eddie Van Halen, while he battled health issues in his final years before passing away last October at the age of 65.

“Thanks so much for tuning in, everyone! I hope you enjoyed it,” shared Wolfgang on social media. “Thanks to the wonderful people at @todayshow for having us and to our amazing crew for making this happen.”

“Distance” will be featured on Mammoth WVH’s self-titled debut, which was produced by Michael Baskette and will be released on June 11.
