Billed as the “Imperatour”, the month-long series – with Mastodon and Spiritbox – will open in San Diego, CA on August 26, with shows wrapping up September 23 in Green Bay, WI.
A presale for American Express cardholders begins Wednesday, May 18 at 12:00pm local time in select markets, while general public tickets will go on-sale Friday, May 20 at 10:00am local time.
“Impera” recently topped the 2022 list of US album sales when, according to Billboard, the Swedish rockers’ fifth record scored the largest sales week of any album this year both in terms of equivalent album units earned (70,000) and traditional album sales (62,500); the set additionally logs the largest sales week of any album in 2022, bolstered by its availability across multiple vinyl LP variants, as well as CD, cassette and digital download.
“Impera” surpassed the 37,000 copies sold of The Weeknd’s “Dawn FM” to claim top physical sales in the year to date.
Produced by Klas Åhlund, the project also delivered a career high for Ghost with a debut at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200, besting a No. 3 position with 2018’s “Prequelle.”
Upon its release, “Impera” had the largest sales week for a rock or hard rock album since the February 2021 arrival of the Foo Fighters’ “Medicine At Midnight.”
