Neil Young announces Harvest Moon vinyl reissue

Neil Young will release a clear vinyl edition of his 1992 album, “Harvest Moon”, on September 22.

Presented as a 3-sided double album with an etching on side 4, the project presents Young’s 19th studio record, recorded on analogue equipment using digital technology and featuring songs like "From Hank to Hendrix," "Unknown Legend," "One of These Days" and the title track.

Young worked with producer/pedal steel guitarist Ben Keith, keyboardist Spooner Oldham, bassist Tim Drummond and drummer Kenny Buttrey, most of whom were a part of Young’s iconic 1972 release, “Harvest.”

Guest artists on “Harvest Moon” included Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Nicolette Larson and Astrid Young.

The 1992 project was certified double platinum in the US for sales of 2 million copies in the region, 5x platinum in Canada and gold in the U.K. and Australia, winning the Juno Award in Canada for "1994 Album of the Year."

“Harvest Moon” will be available at the Greedy Hand Store at Neil Young Archives (NYA) and music retailers everywhere. All Greedy Hand Store purchases come with free hi-res digital audio downloads from the Xstream Store © at NYA.

Young recently released his “lost” 1977 album, “Chrome Dreams”, which saw the singer record 12 songs for the project during a series of sessions between 1974-1976 before being shelved, with most of the material appearing on later albums and compilations.
