The Rolling Stones land Best Rock Song Grammy nomination

The Rolling Stones have landed a 2024 Grammy Award nomination in the Best Rock Song category for “Angry.”

Written by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and producer Andrew Watt, the lead single from the group’s “Hackney Diamonds” album has been recognized by the Recording Academy in the songwriter’s category.

The song will compete against tunes recorded by Foo Fighters, Olivia Rodrigo, Queens Of The Stone Age, and boygenius.

The 66th Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles; it will air live at 8:00 PM ET on the CBS Television Network and will stream on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).

The Rolling Stones recently topped the UK charts with “Hackney Diamonds”, and the project debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200.

Recorded in various locations around the world, the project features guest appearances by Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Bill Wyman and Elton John.
