Over the next ten days, we’ll be counting down the Top 10 Rock News Artists of the past year.
Finalists for the 14th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2023 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Thursday, December 21.
Rock News Artist of The Year No. 10 – TESLA
Tesla opened 2023 with an expanded series of dates on their Time To Rock US tour, which was named after a 2022 single of same name.
In February, the California group teased the release of a new album, “Full Throttle Live”, which captured the band in concert at the Full Throttle Saloon as part of the 2022 Sturgis Bike Rally.
March saw Tesla hosting a Las Vegas residency at the House Of Blues before the May release of the live project, which also featured the “Time To Rock!” single and a cover of the 1974 Aerosmith classic “S.O.S. (Too Bad).”
The band were on the road regularly throughout the year, including the heavy summer touring season, and would host a second Las Vegas residency in the early fall.
Tesla recently announced dates for the 2024 Keepin’ It Real Tour, which will open in Florida next month.
