David Lee Roth posts episode 2 of Tokyo Hi-Power Style Radio Show

Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has posted the second episode of his new series, “Tokyo Hi-Power Style Radio Show.”

Roth explained the concept behind the program last month in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“I invented a whole new website show, Tokyo Hi-Power Style, and all the music you hear there is my personal collection,” said Roth. “That's all floor, and it's kind of talk radio but with that kind of a musical background, and half of it is in Japanese. That's heavy lifting, conducting recording sessions completely in Japanese. So I'm pursuing with a vengeance.”

You can hear episode 2 of the series at Roth’s website here.

The singer made headlines this week when he told SiriusXM’s Opie & Anthony that Van Halen would be touring extensively later this year.

“We’re going to be playing Europe,” Roth told the SiriusXM hosts on Monday. “Probably 50-60 shows outside of the United States starting at the end of this year and then come back around the US.”

On Tuesday, Irving Azoff – manager of Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen - denied Roth’s remarks, telling Rolling Stone, "Why would he say this? Hey, Dave's a talkative guy. Why don't you call and ask him?"

Azoff emphasized that the band's only scheduled 2013 shows remain an April festival date in Australia, three June dates in Japan, and a headlining gig at the Rock USA festival in July in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Would Van Halen possibly do a broader tour, or more dates in 2013? "Not unless something special comes up," Azoff says. "It certainly won't be a tour of Europe."
