Ghost premiere Umbra music video

Ghost is premiering a new video for its new single, “Umbra”, in sync with Friday the 13th.

The clip for the song from the Swedish band’s sixth album, “Skeleta”, was directed by Amir Chamdin, and follows the trajectory of a star-crossed couple hurtling inevitably toward their mutual downfall, all under the watchful eye and narration of Ghost’s Papa V. Perpetua.

Produced by Gene Walker, “Skeleta” marks the follow-up to 2022’s “Impera” and 2024’s “Rite Here Rite Now”, which captured the band over the course of a pair of sold-out shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles that also served as the two-night finale of the group’s Re-Imperatour U.S.A. 2023.

"Umbra" is the latest single from the album; it was preceded by "Satanized", "Lachryma" and "Peacefield," the monolithic anthem opening both the album and Ghost’s massive 2025 live rituals.

The "Umbra" video is the latest harbinger of yet another banner year for Ghost - one that began with a Grammy nomination and the latest US leg of the Skeletour Tour, which runs through February 23rd at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and has sold some half a million tickets worldwide and counting.
