Motley Crue classic joins Spotify Billions Club

Motley Crue’s 1989 classic, “Kickstart My Heart”, has joined the Spotify Billions Club for passing one billion streams on the music service.

The tune joins other rock tracks by Metallica, Aerosmith, Van Halen and Guns N’ Roses, among others.

“Another milestone has been hit for Mötley Crüe,” says the band. “ONE BILLION streams of “Kickstart My Heart” on Spotify - What an incredible honor! 🏍️🔥

“A billion thanks to all the Crüeheads around the world who helped take it there. This one's for YOU!!”

The second single from “Dr. Feelgood”, “Kickstart My Heart” reached the US top 30 while the album topped the Billboard 200.

One of the band’s most recognizable and enduring songs, “Kickstart My Heart” has continued to connect with generations of fans more than three decades after its original release. The track remains a major cornerstone of Mötley Crüe’s catalog and live show, while its presence across film, television, advertising, gaming, and digital platforms has introduced the song to new audiences around the world.

The milestone also arrives as Mötley Crüe celebrates its 45th anniversary and prepares to revisit the album that started it all. The band recently announced a 45th anniversary limited edition of its landmark 1981 debut, “Too Fast For Love”, set for release October 30 via BMG. For the first time, the original Leathür Records version of the album will also be made available on streaming services.

Mötley Crüe recently wrapped its massive summer amphitheater run, The Return Of The Carnival Of SinsTour, which marked the band’s first full tour in three years.
