McCartney’s White House salute airs tonight

As I mentioned last week, PBS is airing “In Performance At The White House” tonight, featuring a salute to Sir Paul McCartney.

Sir Paul was the recipient of this year’s Gershwin Prize For Popular Song; McCartney is just the third to be honored with the award.

The June 2nd event at The White House included guest performers Jack White, Dave Grohl, Elvis Costello, Stevie Wonder, Emmylou Harris, The Jonas Brothers and Faith Hill, as well as the former Beatle himself.

As for the performances, we’ll see what makes the cut when the 90-minute special airs tonight.
