UFO spotted at Ozzfest

What’s with Ozzy and the aliens, anyway?

In March of 2004, a Yahoo! News poll named Ozzy as Britian’s choice to represent all of mankind as the official greeter to visitors from another planet; the survey was taken following NASA’s discovery of signs of water on Mars (see my original story on this here).

Later that same year (by sheer coincidence), one of the best-documented mass UFO sightings to date happened as fans were leaving Ozzfest at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois on August 21. As the fans were caught up in a traffic jam, three lights in a triangular pattern hovered above them for nearly 20 minutes.

The History Channel series “UFO Hunters” kicked off season 2 with an episode about the Ozzfest/Tinley Park sightings in 2008; I happened to see a repeat of the feature, recently.

Ozzfest played the same venue in Tinley Park on Tuesday of this week.

The latest Ozzy/UFO story comes out of Devore, California: last Saturday (August 14), a triangle-shaped UFO was spotted by fans on the opening night of Ozzfest 2010 at the San Manuel Amphitheatre.

According to the UFO Examiner, while Ozzy was on stage performing “Suicide Solution,” one fan turned her eyes away from the stage, looked skyward, and noticed a triangle-shaped object flying “higher than any conventional aircraft.”

A report filed with MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) provides more detail:
"The color of the craft was a pale gray. The middle looking on edgewise was slightly rounded and thicker in the middle, which held 3 round lights in a line strobe-like. Colors were green, yellow and pinkish purple. The lights were like a strobe that blinked and flashed 3-5 times before it disappeared. The craft made no noise but it flew horizontally, then flew up, then hovered then shook as it left.”
The August 14 report is now on file as MUFON Case #25107.

Maybe there’s more to that 2004 British poll, after all…
