Tommy Lee: no Motley Crue tour planned with Poison

Out on the road doing the solo tour thing, Bret Michaels of Poison recently made a reference to a Poison/Motley Crue tour.

At Caesars Windsor’s Colosseum last Saturday, the Windsor Star’s rave review indicated that, “before closing the show, Michaels said he would try to return to Windsor for a reunion tour with Poison and Motley Crue.”

Well, that isn’t happening, at least according to the Crue’s Tommy Lee.

On Monday, in response to a Twitter question about whether or not the rumors of a Crue/Poison Tour in 2011 were true, Lee emphatically replied, “NO!”

I wondered if this was the case, which is why, in my initial report on the Michaels story (see “Poison to tour with Motley Crue in 2011?” here), I wrote some cautionary words to balance out the ensuing hype:

“No word, yet, on whether or not Michaels’ comments are wishful-thinking or fact-based.”

Lee’s Twitter message is consistent with an interview published in Altsounds last month, where he was asked about the same rumours. “Not that I know of, I haven’t heard that!,” replied Lee.
