Bret Michaels ‘pumped’ to return to the stage

Bret Michaels is recovering so well from surgery in January to repair a hole in his heart that he's ready to perform again next month.

"I am pumped to get back on the road and start rocking out on stage for all my awesome fans,” Michaels, 47, tells People.com.

The Poison singer is gearing up to headline the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series, with a four-city tour that kicks off in Dallas and benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure (to breast cancer) on March 27.

"Bret Michaels is bouncing back slowly but surely to good health," a rep tells People. "After taking time to rest and recuperate from his recent heart procedure, he's already getting back into his active lifestyle by working out and running on the treadmill."
