Slash says Super Bowl was “a blast”

Slash made his rumored, but unannounced, cameo during the Super Bowl halftime show with the Black Eyed Peas on Sunday night.

It was a short 90 seconds, but Slash rose from under the stage to play a bit of Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” with Fergie handling vocals.

Slash enjoyed himself, taking to Twitter shortly after the game to share his thoughts:

“That was a blast! What an insane event. I wish I'd bet on the game!”
he tweeted.

Rumors of Slash’s guest spot were leaked a few days before the game by someone close to the plans for the event, so it wasn’t quite the surprise the producers were planning on and probably hoping for.

It’s not the first time Slash has joined the Peas onstage, having played both “Sweet Child” and his own song, “Beautiful Dangerous,” with the band, in the past.

Here’s a clip of Slash’s performance; if you want to check out the full set by the Peas (in HD), then click here.
