VIDEO: KISS studio tour with Tommy Thayer

KISS are in the studio these days working on the follow-up to 2009’s “Sonic Boom,” which was their first studio album in more than a decade.

Vocalist/guitarist Paul Stanley produced that album, and he’s doing the same on this one. “Paul knows more what a KISS record should sound like than anybody, to be honest with you,” guitarist Tommy Thayer told BackstageAxxess.com at the winter NAMM convention, “so he is going to lead the charge and produce it again and we are all really excited about it.”

“We’re gonna really approach it a lot like we did with Sonic Boom,” added Tommy, “and keep it all in the band in terms of the writing, with no agenda besides writing great rock and roll songs that we love, then rehearsing them and then going in and putting them down on tape and recording them. Just the way we did with the last record, which really felt good to us, so we're gonna go do it the same way this time.”

A new one-minute video tour of the KISS studio , hosted by Thayer, has surfaced.
