VIDEO: Joseph Gordon-Levitt rocks Nirvana classic in Seattle

Nirvana are on a lot of people’s minds these days, as the 20th anniversary of the band’s seminal “Nevermind” release happens next month.

Take actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, for example: some cool footage of him rocking a Nirvana classic has surfaced.

Levitt performed “Lithium” at the Neptune Theater in Seattle earlier this week; the song was part of his "HitRecord At The Movies With Joseph Gordon-Levitt” series.

HITRECORD.ORG is a project Levitt started almost five years ago, and in 2010, it evolved into a professional open collaborative production company. Community members create and develop art and media collaboratively on the site. Videos, writing, photography, music, anything – they’re all referred to as RECords.

A 4-CD/1-DVD Super Deluxe Edition of Nirvana’s “Nevermind” will be available from September 19 worldwide (except North America, where it will be available September 20).

The CDs will include previously unreleased recordings, rarities, b-sides, BBC radio appearances, alternative mixes, rare live recordings and an unreleased concert in its entirety on DVD.
